The West Los Angeles College men's basketball team is set host the 2024 Wild West Shootout. The three-day event gets underway on Thursday (Dec. 5) at the West LA gym.
Seven teams will join the Wildcats in competition this weekend. No. 13 state-ranked Chabot College faces Los Angeles Valley College at 1 p.m. to open the tourney while host West LA will take on Rio Hondo College at 5 p.m.
Day 1 Schedule
Chabot vs. LA Valley, 1 p.m.
Compton vs. Barstow, 3 p.m.
Rio Hondo vs. West LA, 5 p.m.
Long Beach vs. Orange Coast, 7 p.m.
West LA is 4-4 to open the season. The Wildcats are coming off a 72-67 win over Palomar College at home last Tuesday (Nov. 26). Brandon Clay had a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Wildcats.
